Duncanville High School - Media
Technology - Classic Eye of the Panther
Over 10 years old and still stalking the story - "Eye of the
Panther" was created in 1992 by a group of high school pioneers.
Allen J. Oliver was the newsmagazines editor in chief for 3 years
from 1989-1992. DHS Media Technology students and instructor Nancy
Noyes continue to produce the close circuit newsmagazine as it approaches
it's 10-year anniversary.
In 1995, Allen J. Oliver Productions re-released earlier episodes
calling it "Classic Eye of the Panther". The summer long
series airing on Duncanville Cable Access featured a look back at
DHS 10 years ago. In an interview with the Vocational Industrial
Clubs of America, Allen Oliver said…"It's so much fun to look
back at those tapes and see how much things have changed over the
years. My former classmates and friends tease me about my on camera
days. I find more comfort these days behind the camera directing
and producing. I wanted to release these photos of my favorite moments.
It was something I would do all over again, given the chance."
